Trauma-Informed Care: A Professional Development Series

Colorful flowerTrauma-Informed Care: A Professional Development Series

Many people, especially many of the children we work with, experience collective forms of trauma. When a person experiences trauma, their coping capacity and ability to integrate their emotional experience is overwhelmed, causing significant distress (NCDVTMH, 2017; SAMHSA, 2014). With this professional development opportunity, we hope to provide you with a trauma informed perspective into the work that we do with the children in our care. So many of these children have already been exposed to traumatic events at such a young age. It is our goal to present you with valuable information, tips, tools and resources towards becoming trauma-informed and reshaping what we already do with the children we serve.
