Maria Gill, Project Director
Maria Gill received her MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and BS in Developmental Psychology from Emmanuel College. She has experience working in and managing Early Intervention and Early Head Start programs in several states. She also has provided Early Intervention services in Europe, serving the families of US Army soldiers stationed overseas. Maria is the parent of one child, who has received preschool special education services.
Laura Glover, Early Childhood Specialist
Laura received her MS in Special Education from SUNY Oswego and a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education from St. John Fisher College. She holds certification in Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6 as well as in Students With Disabilities, Grades 1-6. Laura has worked with children birth through age 5 in various capacities for almost 20 years and was previously a Universal Pre-K teacher for the Syracuse City School District and the Assistant Director of a local childcare center. Laura resides in Camillus with her husband and two children.
Kate Smith, Early Childhood Specialist
Kate received her MS in Special Education from LeMoyne College and a BS in Sociology from Hobart & William Smith Colleges. She is a certified teacher in Special Education (birth-21 years) and Elementary Education. For the past 15 years, Kate has worked as a Special Education teacher in Early Intervention and Preschool classrooms, as a member of evaluation teams, and as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) working with children in homes, preschools, and daycare centers. Kate lives in Syracuse with her husband and three young children.
